Playa Blanca ist Gastgeber eines einzigartigen Unterwassererlebnisses: das Museo Atlántico. Hier können Taucher das einzige Unterwasserskulpturenmuseum Europas besuchen. Der Künstler Jason deCaires Taylor ist auch für seine Unterwasserskulpturen in Grenada und Cancun/Mexiko berühmt.

Das Museo Atlántico, das als riesiges künstliches Riff gestaltet wurde, besteht aus zehn verschiedenen Teilen. Es gibt den Rubicon: eine Gruppe von 35 menschlichen Figuren, die auf eine Mauer und eine Pforte unter dem Ozean zu laufen. Die Modelle, die für diese Skulpturen verwendet wurden, sind alle Bewohner von Lanzarote. Sie können das berühmte Floß von Lampedusa sehen, ein Verweis auf die Flüchtlingskrisen. Es gibt eine Gruppe von Kindern in kleinen Messingbooten, genannt Los Jolateros. Auch gibt es mehrere Hybrid-Skulpturen, die eine harmonische Verschmelzung von Natur und Menschheit (halb Kaktus, halb Mensch) zeigen. Die Skulpturen eines Paares, die ein Selfie nehmen sowie von einigen Fotografen, beziehen sich auf die Nutzung der neuen Technologien in der modernen Gesellschaft. Im Portal blickt eine junge Hybridenfrau in einen Spiegel, der die Oberfläche des Ozeans spiegelt. Dereguliert ist ein Spielplatz, auf dem Geschäftsleute in Anzügen auf einer Schaukel und zwei Wippen spielen. Die letzte Skulptur ist ein Wirbel aus Menschen mit 200 lebensgroßen Skulpturen.
Die Statuenkollektion befindet sich in einer geschützten Umgebung in der Nähe von Coloradas, Playa Blanca in einer Tiefe von 12 bis 15 Metern. Ein Besuch im Museo Atlántico ist eine magische Erfahrung und ermöglicht uns ein besseres Verständnis zu unserem Verhältnis zur Meereswelt und zeigt die Notwendigkeit, die Unterwasserwelt zu schätzen und zu schützen!
Für Taucher und Schnorchler
Dive College Lanzarote bringt mehrmals in der Woche Taucher mit dem Boot zu diesem einzigartigen Tauchplatz. Wir bieten auch Schnorchlern die Möglichkeit, das Museo Atlántico mit einer speziellen Schnorcheltour zu besuchen. Von der Oberfläche sehen Sie die Umrisse und Formen von den Skulpturen, aber keine Einzelheiten.
Für Nicht-Taucher
Für Leute, die keinen Tauchschein haben, bieten wir ein spezielles Programm an. Dieses Programm besteht aus fünf Teilen: Zuerst erklären wir die Theorie für den Schnuppertauchgang, anschließend folgt der Schnuppertauchgang vom Strand aus, danach werden die Tauchgrundfertigkeiten im Pool erlernt, ein wenig später erfolgt die Erklärung zum Tauchgang und abschließend geht es mit dem Boot zum Museo Atlántico zum Tauchgang mit einem privaten Guide.

Das Dive College Lanzarote besteht seit 2001 und befindet sich in Playa Blanca, der südlichen Spitze von Lanzarote. Jeden Freitag und Mittwoch um 09:30 Uhr bieten wir geführte Bootstauchgänge zum Museo Atlantico an. Wir bieten auch ein spezielles Programm für Anfänger an, die das Museo Atlantico besuchen möchten. Die andere Möglichkeit ist, das Museo Atlantico als Freitaucher zu besuchen.
Als PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center garantieren wir das höchste Niveau an Sicherheit und Ausstattung, das eine Tauchbasis bieten kann. Was uns auszeichnet, ist die lockere und entspannte Atmosphäre, in der sich jeder sofort willkommen und zu Hause fühlt. Für Familien oder Freunde, die nicht tauchen, bieten wir geführte Schnorcheltouren und Sup-Touren (Stand Up Paddle Boarding) an.

You can laugh with these guys and it puts you very much at ease. I tired scuba diving for the first time at Dive college in October 2021 I was so nervous but these guys are patient. My stomach had butterflies. I had a free trial in the pool first and then a try dive. I always felt safe and looked after.I was so at ease after my first experience I came back for more in April 2022 and did another try dive and the Museum Atlantico loved it.So BACK I came again this year and have done the Flamingo wall dive. Even though still an amateur I was guided by a professional diver and it is so beautiful under the ocean. These guys are AMAZING please try it. No one could possibly have been more nervous about it than me. I DID IT not just once but 3 times. Found Dive College to be one of few that offered diving for kids (8 & 11 years old) and I booked the bubbelmaker experience through whatsapp. Upon arrival kids were geared up and got the diving instructions in their native language (Dutch). Quick tester in the swimming pool and off into the great ocean. Kids very much enjoyed their first diving experience and we have the video's and photo's to make the memory ever lasting!Verified

It was a great experience and the under water museum was fantastic. The staff were professional, polite, accommodating and a laugh to be around. Myself and my partner highly recommend them and the museum Atlantic. We looked through all the reviews beforehand, which most negative ones seem to expect a refund because they can't tolerate the activity. If in doubt I'd suggest doing a try dive before deciding if you want to spend the extra money for a more intense experience. Thank you Dive College and all your staff for an unforgettable experience. Dale2023-04-16Fantastic entry point for anyone uncomfortable in water I (M32) took my mother (F57) along to try something out of our comfort zone. I'm not a particularly strong swimmer, but found this to be an absolutely great experience, and we're both delighted for having tried it. Throughout we were looked after and made to feel really safe.Mara picked us up and took us to the Dive College. We struggled into our wetsuits, got sorted out with flippers and snorkeling gear before heading down to the beach to swim out to the boat. Initially this felt quite daunting, but we were assured the suits would help keep us afloat, and once the flippers were on swimming in the sea -- even in choppy waves -- was really easy. Once on the boat, it was just a short 5 minute journey to the outside of Flamingo Beach, where we left the boat and entered the water. We swam around the outside of the rocks before entering the enclosed part of beach, all the while seeing a great range of life under water. Once we got into the enclosed part of the beach we spotted a few stingrays and took our time to explore. After about 25 minutes or more we slowly headed back to the boat, before getting taken back to the Dive College. We never felt rushed and was a great value (€38 for maybe 40-50 minutes in the water).Definitely something I want to do again, and felt like a great first step for trying scuba diving next time.Be sure to take towels and water for when you get out (you'll invariably drink some salt water when you're snorkeling).Verified

We were both total beginners, but Mara guided us through it and we were standing up and enjoying ourselves in no time. The session takes place in the Flamingo beach cove, so there were quite a lot of other swimmers and paddle boarders all around that we had to steer around - so not quite as private as we had expected from the photos but nonetheless had a blast and would absolutely do it again.
