What to expect during your first dive
Embarking on your first diving adventure is an exhilarating experience. At Dive College Lanzarote, our try dive program is designed specifically for beginners. Our professional instructors will guide you through every step, ensuring you feel comfortable and safe underwater.
The session, which lasts about 2 hours, begins with a brief introduction to the equipment and safety procedures. You’ll learn how to breathe underwater and communicate with your instructor using hand signals. After the briefing, you’ll enter the water for your first dive, exploring the beautiful underwater world of Lanzarote up to a maximum depth of 6 meters.
Is it safe for beginners to try diving?
Safety is our top priority. Our try dive program is conducted in shallow waters where you can stand up if needed. We use high-quality diving gear, and our instructors are certified and experienced in handling beginners. You’ll be under constant supervision to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Preparing for your first dive
No prior experience is needed to participate in our try dive program. However, there are a few things you can do to prepare. Make sure to get a good night’s sleep and stay hydrated. Avoid heavy meals and alcohol before diving. We’ll provide all the necessary equipment, so just bring your swimwear, a towel, and a sense of adventure!
What to wear for a try dive
For your try dive, wear comfortable swimwear. We will provide wetsuits, masks, fins, and other necessary equipment. If you have long hair, tying it back can help you feel more comfortable underwater. Don’t forget sunscreen for before and after the dive!
